What is Circus Camp all about?
Our focus is on FUN!
We inspire campers to discover their unique sense of creative expression by providing opportunities to reach new potentials and expand skills.
Circus Camp is a day-camp experience designed to introduce children to circus, performing, and visual arts in a safe and noncompetitive environment. Camper age begins at 5 years old and includes teens. Any level of physical development & skill is welcomed.
As a member of the AYCO (American Youth Circus Organization) and USAG (United States of America Gymnastics), we provide campers with the opportunity to learn something new and exciting every day, while developing their unique skills.
Circus Camp began in 1993 by Carrie Heller, our Fearless Flying Founder. Her inspiration and vision is what makes this camp such an amazing experience for thousands of children every year.

What time is the Big Circus show?
Each week during Summer Camp, on Friday at 2:00pm, parents are invited to watch their children in the Circus Camp show.
The show theme changes each week, but the format usually stays the same: Magicians entertain the audience as they enter, starting around 1:45. A big parade opens the show, then the campers perform what they have learned throughout the week. The show is about 45 minutes long, although that can vary depending on the number of campers enrolled.
Your children are very proud of what they've accomplished, and really look forward to our big "show off day"!
What kind of clothes should my child wear to camp?
Comfortable clothing such as shorts and t-shirts or leotards are best. Tennis shoes are encouraged. Sandals are also good, unless your child is interested in trying the unicycle class, where closed toed shoes are required.
Do I send lunch with my child?
Please send a lunch each day for your child. We do not allow children to share lunches, due to problems with food allergies. The Davis Academy in Dunwoody is a "Peanut-Free" campus. No peanut products, including peanut butter, are allowed on school grounds. Bottled water and other hydrating beverages are encouraged. Soda and other high-sugar drinks are strongly discouraged!
What activities are offered at camp?
Before each class, counselors demontrate or describe what will be taught during the next "act". The campers then choose which activity they would like to participate in. The only scheduled activities are the aerial classes and the 5-6 year old's classes. Here is a list of the most popular choices:

Do you offer Before and After care?
Yes we offer both Before and After care. At the Decatur & Dunwoody camps, before care begins at 8:00am. After care begins at 3:45pm and runs until 6:00pm. Pre-Registered cost of $10 per care time. ($15 for unscheduled times).
When is drop off and pick-up?
Drop-off begins at 9:45am. There will be one or more adults available to open the car doors and monitor your child's entry into the building. Pick-up begins at 3:30pm. Again, adults will be present to escort the campers to their vehicles. Any child picked up later than 3:45pm will be charged for Aftercare.
How do I know if my child is qualified for Advanced Camp?
Generally speaking, if your child is 8 or older and proficient in aerial skills (can perform a cradle on the ropes and footwork on the web), they are qualified. If you are uncertain call us at 404-370-0001.
Can my child just try out Circus Camp, like a sample?
TRY ME DAY AT CIRCUS CAMP ! Join us any Monday from 10:00am - 3:30pm at the Decatur or Dunwody locations. Your child will participate in a variety of circus arts, just like a regular day at camp. If you decide to join us for the rest of the week, your fee will apply towards the weekly fee.
Space is limited, so reserve your slot early.
Try it, you'll love it!
